Go to, and the small things that make Jamvi easier every day

Jamvi has grown a lot of useful screens: All income, Year at a glance, Who owes who, My businesses, Import M-Pesa. Useful only if you can find them. Go to puts every one of them in a single list you can search, and a run of smaller changes makes everyday use smoother.

Go to: type what you mean

Go to has its own tab at the bottom of the screen, a bar that stays at the top of Home, and a compass button on Money, Budget and Reports. You do not need to know what a screen is called. Type owe and you get Who owes who and Debts. Type rent and you get your business screens. Type chama and the group screens come up. Ask Jamvi sits at the top of the list.

Smaller changes worth knowing

Every M-Pesa entry shows its time. Money shows the time beside the date, such as 17 Oct · 3:42 PM. Older entries get their times filled in from the M-Pesa messages still on your phone.

Money back from friends. You paid the whole restaurant bill and your friends sent their share. That is not income; it lowers what the meal cost you. Choose Money back for and the category, and Jamvi offers to do the same for that friend's other payments.

A tick box before any big change. When Jamvi offers to change many entries at once, it shows you the list first with a tick box on each. Nothing changes without you seeing it.

Balances that explain themselves. On Who owes who, Where does this come from? lists every payment behind a balance, oldest first, with a running total, and shows any part that was typed in by hand.

Easier to read. Year at a glance shows four months at a time and opens the payments behind any figure. Money's search can show only money in or only money out, with a total.

Your M-Pesa, sorted and easy to find.
